Stunning mom of 4 ~ and stunning business plan, every mom can be inspired by.
When you think of getting your makeup done, it doesn't have to be stressful and a "once in a while" to do. I for one know I could use a makeup artist, as well as makeup educator, for every outing and every outfit change.
Makeup By Jen located in Elmhurst, is that perfect combination of sophisticated looks, meets calming conversation with Jen O'Leary. Her expertise in color palettes and application are obvious within her first few minutes meeting with her clients. She helps all skin types look and feel their best, for any occasion.
Jen O'Leary will book in-home makeup sessions, as well at The Beauty Lounge in downtown Elmhurst. The Beauty Lounge downtown location makes it easy to meet friends and family ~ and catch the train or meet for dinner right after your professional makeup session.

When asked who Jen's "people" are that keep her going, from being a mom, to running her own business this was what she had to say,
"My husband and my 4 children are the reasons why I have created the business. I want to be close by and be able to be part of their everyday -I love working with other women in the Elmhurst community, everyone is so supportive.
It is a conscious choice to constantly keep my personal world as peaceful as possible. My tribe of friends are the best. They are super supportive, drama free and I love them dearly.
All of the love and support from all of my “people” is what fuels my fire to keep going and hopefully growing in business as the kids become more independent."
When did you start your business and why? I am a licensed esthetician/makeup artist. I had 4 children really close in age the business seemed like it could make sense. I found a way to hang with the ladies in the community and be social as well as make people feel better about themselves.
What would be your dream job, client, product?
I would just love to continue on the path I’m on. If I could eventually, have a steady flow of local clients that fill a few days a week or so that would be ideal.
Kind of a simple goal in life but I really do love and enjoy the art of balance. I want to keep room for family, friends and health and fitness.
What was your inspiration to take the leap of faith or just go for it? The business really just started one face or one set a brows at a time. It has slowly grown organically one client at a time. I haven’t rushed things because my family has been the priority. I wanted to start manifesting a business that could eventually help contribute to our family once my kids are in school all day.
What advice would you give moms or dads ~ who are starting their own company, or looking to change career paths or life paths?
Find what you love and start slow. Even if its just a little side hobby-eventually if
you align yourself with the right people and start talking about your desires it then starts to mold into something before your eyes.
How do you start your day? I love being the first up in the house.
If can have a few sips of coffee before anyone needs me, that is a successful morning! (I couldn't agree more Jen!)
